CONSTRUCTION OF A PEDESTRIAN AND CYCLIST BRIDGE OVER THE SAN LEOPOLDO CANAL
2Zero Projects was entrusted with the executive structural design of a steel pedestrian and cyclist bridge spanning the San Leopoldo Canal in the locality of Fiumara, Marina di Grosseto (GR).
The new structure consists of a single-span steel deck approximately 80 meters long and 3.5 meters wide, conceived to ensure both structural efficiency and visual lightness. The bridge is designed in accordance with current standards for pedestrian and cycle infrastructure, with particular attention to durability, maintainability, and environmental sustainability.
The intervention harmoniously integrates with the surrounding landscape, enhancing the continuity of local pedestrian and cycling routes across the San Leopoldo canal.
Structural engineers Claudio Migliorini and Aleandro Giannetti from 2Zero Projects contributed to the design team coordinated by Eng. Cesare Tinti.
